OEM Account Manager – Photonics

My client is an expanding diversified optical sensing company and a global leader in optical spectroscopy.. They are looking for an OEM Account Manager to focus on the Western and Northern European areas based in the Netherlands.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical OEM sales, including account acquisition and management in the Photonics Industry. This role is to build on a significant existing sales pipeline, working both independently as well as in small cross-functional teams.

Identify, evaluate, and convert new key accounts
Manage and inspire existing accounts within the region to exceed set sales growth target
Team-up with application engineering as the principal support for new OEM projects in the territory, ensuring that all agreed objectives are met with on-time delivery in support of new product creation
Spot and review local market trends and work with marketing and product management to develop and execute corresponding territory-targeted campaigns
Lead by example and always demonstrate company core values within the sales team
Provide account management to existing and new accounts within the region to exceed aggressive sales growth targets
Spot market trends and work with marketing and product management to develop and execute corresponding sales campaigns
Work with application engineering as the principal customer liaison for new OEM customization projects in the territory, ensuring that all agreed objectives are met with on-time delivery in support of new product creation
Lead by example and always demonstrate company core values within the sales team

Your Profile
Passion and drive to be hands-on selling in the field as well as to drive projects internally
Technical background with 3-10 years sales experience
Team player with entrepreneurial spirit
Demonstrated selling success of technical product lines
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently as well as in fluid organizational structures
Bachelors or Diplom in Engineering or Basic Sciences, or at minimum proven experience in technical sales
Advanced technical degrees or supplemental business degrees or training a benefit
Photonics market experience strongly preferred
Applicant must speak fluent English and minimum one additional European language, preferably two
